Good thoughts and I agree.

Well, I have to say this, only because you asked: You put out a pretty bitter vibe on this board. And it it's that transparent online, then it's probably obvious in person, too.

Thanks to all who contributed something. No, not all five poeple were friends. Two were cousins and the rest were job applicant pple. One of my cousins usually gets back to me later. We'll see if I hear from her yet by the end of the week.

What? Does she want the truth or not? You seem to think that you're helping by not giving it. I'm not trying to hurt the OP's feelings, but she wants to know why this is happening to her. And I have a pretty good guess.

I hear ya and have been there, you're not alone.
Yes it's probably the world situation weighing on people's subconscious also, whether they realize it or not.

Where are you finding people? I have never in my life had problems finding quality people for life long relationships, deep, abiding relationships.

I'm sorry, but the problem IS you. Not to be harsh, but either you're sending out the wrong vibes, saying the wrong things or looking in the wrong places. Perhaps you're coming on too strong and needy. Perhaps you're asking for too much initially. Relationships take TIME and EFFORT. You don't just call someone up you barely know so you can talk.

My 2 cents.

I shouldn't be forced to talk because I'm somewhat withdrawn. It's my first amendment right to keep quiet.

My point is that maybe people are avoiding you because you talk too much. No offense, btw. I know in my experience that I hate people that talk too much and don't know when to shut their trap.
