Do these people have children, if not, he is not a dad, as one must have children to be a dad. Also was there a question here or are you just jelly of your dude killing it in grad school with some hottie while you have no such hook up?
In no part of the OP's thread did he say the guy is actually a father. That could be a childless couple.
I think a lot of guys would be open to being a stay-at-home partner and having a woman support them. Being a stay-at-home partner is less stressful than the full time working world.

Well duh. Being a stay at home anything with no kids is legit the laziest thing anyone can ever do (assuming no future career goals or in school, etc).
So I know a couple who supposedly , the guy is in grad school and his gf pays the bills!!
And she's hot looking!
I figured the only way I could get a gf and make it work was to pay for everything.
But this guy seems to have it made.
A gf, and she supports HIM!!
I just don't know how I could ever get that setup for myself, if I wanted it.
So where does the kid(s) come in play with this? Sounds like the gal works full time, and the guy is in school? Does he stay home with the kid(s) during the day when he's not in school? Does he study at home while taking care of the kid(s)? How old are the kid(s)?
There is nothing wrong with a stay at home dad, but what your describing is unclear.
