divorce rates are driven by 1 color and 1 color only $$$$$$$$$$$$$ green.
You make an interesting point. I think this is more so for Americans. I guess what i should be asking is what are the divorce rates of Caucasian Americans vs. Caucasian Europeans, Asian Americans vs. Asians, etc.
i know asian-asian marriages have the lowest divorce rates. It can be explained by cultural norms in more recent immigrants as well as financial stability especially in ones born here (due to greater educational attainment and a saving culture instilled from ancestry).
Blacks have the highest divorce rate due to poverty, illegitimate children, and a cycle (children of divorced parents likely to divorce themselves). Whites and hispanics are somewhere in between blacks and asians.
If you want me to bring up the studies i will.
EDIT: mixed raced marriages have higher divorce rates. (similarity = longetivity, differences = stress to marriage)
and of course $$ = less divorce, lower income = higher divorce.
I would like to say that Asian American divorce rate are lower, but you just have no idea that Asian couples cheat as much as any other couple out there. I think one of the reasons why Asian Americans are least likely to divorce is due to the tradition that they hold. Now Asian American women have become more educated and finanically independent that they have the freedom to leave their relationship. Might I add that the culture we live in do influence how we live and think as well.
They say "statistically" that Asian American divorce rate is increasing. I kind of figure.
