Encourages me to go out and have a good time, but that's because he is gone Monday thru Friday (currently) so I am a single mom on some days. Trust me, when you have kids, you need a drink!

Ugh, "let" me go out...never an issue...and I would never ask for permission. I ask if he has any prior engagements or if he is working late and if he does and I really want to go out, I get a babysitter.

I ask him what he would say. He said,"Yeah, as long as it was to a church function."

You think so? My husband never asks me if he can go out...we are not the others personal property and do not treat each other that way. It is sad that anyone would think that someone is their property.

This is a non-issue at my house. Because every minute I am not working I spend with him out of choice. I do not have any "girls" because I find that having lady friends puts too much demand on my time. As it is I have to spend far too much time away from home just going to work and I would never dream of reducing our time together even further by going out without him. He is my best friend and biggest, most important part of my life.

I don't "ask", I inform.

IF there is a legitimate reason to ask me to reconsider, he will (like other plans or a committment I may have forgotten about) otherwise he says "have a good time and bring me a doggy bag!"
