Anyone see the movie "The Life of David Gale"? David asks are terminally ill Cosntance (Laura Linley), what she regreted most in life. Laura answers not having enough sex. Good movie. Oh and by the way David takes care of the matter in hand .

I used to be bitter about all the missed opportunities and mistakes that I made. Then I realized that living in the past is a waste of time. Now I concentrate on living my life now and making sure my children have all the opportunities that I missed out on and hopefully the wisdom to choose wisely.

Had to think about this one!
Most of my "regrets" altered my life so much, that wishing them away would have changed my destiny thus far. I regret an early 4 yr. marriage because I was too young (19!!!) - but because of that I moved to another state & met a far better man & married him at 27. Most of my blunders eventually brought me to something better.

Probably my biggest regret would be not singing "Silent Night" on Christmas Eve with my father. I was maybe 13 or 14, he was singing carols (not too well) & asked me to sing that with him. I was too embarrassed by what everyone else would think so I declined. I will never forget the hurt in his face. The nicest thing I could've done, the easiest gift to give him...and I said no. Definitely wish I could take that back. Thirty-three years later, I still tear up when I hear that song, & I make sure to play Silent Night every Christmas Eve since in the hopes he can hear it wherever his spirit may be roaming...

I have few regrets. But I've said things, in the heat of the moment during my impetuous youth, that I'd give my right youknowwhat to take back. Because when you're 20 or 25, you think you know everything. Now, at 46, I know I don't.
