I think men want to feel respected and needed. If a man I'm dating offers to mow my lawn for me, I don't say, "Oh, no, I can do it!" I sit back and say, "Thank you. I appreciate that so much."

No, men don't want to date bimbos, but they also don't want to date a women who competes with them and thinks she can operate a lawnmower better than he can. (The lawnmower is just a silly example.)

Ladies, is it that hard for you to let your man feel like a man?

This is an easy one. Guys like to impress girls with their smarts. When were talking to a girl that isn't as smart as we are, it gives us that feeling.

I had a friend who's wife did this all the time but it got frustrating because occasionally she would take it way too far. Leaving us stairing at each other wondering "wtf? is she seriously this stupid"

I hope you girls don't get the idea that men are defective or something. Most guys only take issues with a girls intelligence if its an extreme. Either too smart or really really dumb.

I usually come across as bold and confident, and smart. There's no way I'd ever play dumb just to get a guy to like me.

Players, jocks, non committal good time types and bad boys do like the clueless type of women. Its so much easier to pull the wool over their eyes. It might be difficult for you to keep up the act, however.

I don't know any worthwhile men who are like that but the problem is that women may not consider them to be worth while.

This is a complex question. So much depends what you are looking for in a man. If you consider this to be an expectation that you want met and are the rare type of woman who will look past the superficial, other types of men should not be too difficult to find.
