ok guys, i have been talking to this girl online who lives nearby. She wanted to meet in person and go out on a date- but something was telling me to find out more about her before i decide to meet in person. one night she was telling me about her best friends relationship with this guy who had just came out of prison and had twice cheated on her. From there, something was telling me to get out and stop talking to her- it sounds silly but thats all it took. I really liked this girl but not the crowd that she seemingly came with and it completely turned me off. Is it right for me to feel this way? does anyone else get alarm bells early in a relationship?
I often get scared to commit to a relationship, i have only not felt like this once before -when i used to speak to this other girl online. we seemed to have somewhat of an emotional connection, and we used to speak often. My life practically revolved around her and i often found myself planning my saturday nights around her. it felt different and i didnt feel scared to commit to this girl and i felt comfortable about meeting her in person. It is something that i strongly wanted to do but i didnt pursue these feelings because i was not sure if she felt the same way and i was hesitant that it would jeopardise our online friendship. well another guy came along and she eventually got married to him. i feel regretful for not asking her to meet in person.

Once I hear the word "prison" I'd bounce.

I believe that's called "escape" and an APB follows.

Trust your gut! It never lies to you. The so much sought-after butterflies in the stomach ARE your body's way of telling you "danger ahead."

Now if I only did what I preach...
