I prefer a person with a good heart. So many people are trying to get ahead, they turn into vicious beasts. A good people are difficult to find.

Yeah, my tastes are simple, too - I want it all!

That's why such threads always go nowhere. The questions are about clear "choice" and the answers start coming - "but I want both"... Well, so do I and everybody else.

I have led a sheltered life and have met few really mean people and then our county started changing. We have people who move here and talk about how nice everybody is, but do not realize to fit in here they need to change to be a nice person too. The problem is that most of them do not realize they are not so nice. Nice people do not take advantage of others even though the other person may not be so smart. I hate to have to start protecting myself because I am around so many dishonest people but that is what is happening.

I would say that I prefer "down to earth" and smart. The "down to earth" people are probably more intelligent than the "smart" group but seem less so because they do not us their intelligence to take advantage of others.
