is it not a good idea to ask a girl, lets says friend of a friend, too many questions over text? i try to ask questions to make them open up, like "what do you think of...","how did you feel...". however i get short responses. also im trying to get to know them, so i ask questions.

or should i just make random texts about what i think and feel? seems its mostly me asking questions

Depending on the phone, texting isn't always geared to much more than brief messages.
I just had to get a stylus for my new one.

Ask her to meet in person. Forget text.

What is your intention in interrogating a far-off stranger through text messaging?

Face time. Then you can see facial expressions and hear vocal nuance. Personally, texting conversation is super annoying. It is hard to say anything of substance.

Really depends.

The girl I've been liking on/off for the last 5 months and I have talked a lot more in person. The only times I've texted her is at wishing her luck with something coming up for school or "want to get food?", "going to that party tn?"

Sadly, she hasn't really had time to hang out those few times. I texted her to get food really late at night and forgot she eats dinner around 8pm. The party, I knew there was one far closer to her home and she went there instead (also the party I wanted her to come to was actually dull/letdown).

Recently texted her for coffee a few nights ago, never got a response lol. This is after some really positive in person interactions (her smiling way more than usual at me after I purposely tried to minimize our interaction to see how she would respond when I talked to her again out of the blue which was done in person).
