Since this is my first online forum I have a question? Do you treat people on here the same way you treat them face to face? I see a lot of posts that in my opinion range from really getting into someone's face, to ridiculing opinions, etc. Is that how you are in face to face relationships or does the board make you feel a little more powerful? Would you be embarrassed if someone you were just getting to know read any of your posts on here?

In the end people attract exactly what they are putting out.

That's why certain posters pretty much follow the same answer formula as they jump from question to question.

In short, they can't get out of their own way/don't understand why their relationship life follows the same cycle over and over again.

I wouldn't care if a new interest read my babbling. I'd much rather get to know the person thru dialogue though.

Pretty much.

I don't know if I've gotten in someone's face on this board, but I would tell someone in real life if I don't agree with his opinion. Luckily, I rarely hear anything in my day to day life that's anywhere close to some of the more absurd things I read on this forum.

Would you be embarrassed if someone you were just getting to know read any of your posts on here?

No.

Even if people claim what they write on the internet is just their "internet personality" I think it's still their real personality most of the time.

I am the same everywhere, no need to be fake or hide behind a computer screen.
If anyone wants to read anything I have posted I will direct them to this site without a second thought or hesitation.
I don't embarass easy and I am not ashamed of what I say or write.
If someone takes issue with my opinion so be it, it is their choice to agree or disagree.

Sorry. You probably refer to me.

You were digging out an old question that was completely answered and asked the same question again (hoping for different answers??). And then you wondered about the negative replies.

I share my opinions more readily on here than IRL. But I always use a respectful tone and never belittle people. That's just the way I was raised.

No, I wasn't. Its a general question about many posts I've read so far. So far, there is only one poster on this forum whose name I even keep track of.

I am as much an indifferent, cynical a-hole in real life as I am here.

Ok then.

Yes, I am the same in person.

I have been told by Americans that I am very blunt. I often say what everybody is thinking but doesn't dare to say. I don't have any fake friends, I have a small group of very good friends who appreciate my honesty. In turn, I also expect the same from them. When I do something stupid, they will tell to my face and I will take it into consideration. I like it that way.

No, I wouldn't be embarrassed, so therefore, I don't mind having my profile pic public.
