"him sitting directly across from you instead of on the side of you"?

I always seem to Sit directly across from her on a date at whatever place we decide to meet instead of on the side of her to be a little closer. I always was looking like I was at a interview and instead of on a date. So tomorrow I want to be closer to I can be a little more flirtatious instead of being across the table like a fool

So ladies when you meet a guy is he usually sitting closer to you?

It doesn't matter if its the first time, or the 500th time, I always sit across.

I would find it odd to both be sitting on the same side of a booth, or a table, or whatever, when its just the two of us.
Don't you?

I mean, holy crap. What are we going to start wearing matching track suits pretty soon, too?

I prefer across so we can see each other while chatting and also have a bit of separation.

I mean if it's a square table he is sitting on the side of you instead of directly across

well I witnessed a first date a month ago and the guy was on the side of her and it seemed like it created a opportunity for them to be extra flirty

Has always been across EVERYTIME. With all my bajillion 1 time meets. Even my husband. Even now we're married. Actually when I try to sit beside my husband his reaction is always like - what are you doing? LOL. I don't care. I still sit beside him when I feel like it.

You mean like at a two top? Yeah I can see how that would be cool. At a booth or a four top it would be weird though.

First date, always sit across. Don't assume stuff. Once intimacy starts, and we are out dating, sure I'll sit across, but after a glass or two of wine, I'm usually over on her side, putting on a show for the rest of the patrons. I have found women really like this, in fact. After dinner, I get up and go sit by her. They usually look at me with a WTF are you doing look, followed by smiles and giggles. Works every time.
