Bad idea. Send a card and go out a few days later. Cheaper and less awkwardness.

Yeah, it could create way too much pressure for a first date.

too late, it's already set. I will buy her some chocolates and take her out. Hopefully she will be good company and we will both enjoy the evening.

V DAY us just another date. one year i had no plans in particular. i had met someone recently. they asked me out. i agreed. it was fun. but i thought nothing of it. aside from the fact that it was a weekday date.

i would treat it as any other date. no need to do something out of the ordinary. its another day. like presidents day. or friday.

just date!
life dont work on a calendar. we dont get to ask love, life, death or pain to wait for when time is right, or for a date marked on a calendar. its just happens.

this is another day happening. enjoy it.

and at Sees and at hallmarks and at no-tell motels.
pure commercialism.

its on par with xmas for me.
a day where people try to prove they care about someone by spending ridiculous amounts money on them.

appreciation should not be about a calendar date, at least its not to me.

the problem is that a lot of people have bought into that idea. wait til xmas or v day to show someone how much you care...
