Don't bet. Not all guys are perverts. Besides, what ever happened to being able to honestly compliment a woman? Now a days, it seems like if you compliment a woman, it's thought you are trying to get them alone somewhere. I look at it like this, I f it's a beautiful woman, I'll compliment her and it's not a flirt, just an honest compliment,most of the time! (yeah, there are a couple women I've meant it to be a flirt, but I told them up front it was too!)

I think sierraAZ is correct...given a significant number of posts on a variety of topics, I think you can get a pretty decent feel for someone.
Indeed, I have developed a 25%/50%/25% mental rubric of people at CD. There are about one-fourth who I would really love to meet in person, people with whom I think I would get along very well. That is, people who I would "click" with. About half seem like good people that I wouldn't necessarily be great friends with, but seem OK enough to me. And about one-fourth who are folks who clearly have a starkly different view of things and/or personality type that I would not find very appealing.
I disagree. Smart people can dumb themselves down should they want to for some reason; idiots cannot smarten themselves up!
And who really are those smart people? Are they really smart? One thing I can sense though, is an idiot, you're right!
Remember one thing, it takes a smart person to get over on people and to get their confidence! And this has been known to lead to many crimes. One should always be leary of others online. Although these threads are fun to be had, one should always be cautious as to giving out any personal info.
I don't know if I would call them 'crushes', but there are a few charming guys on here who always make me laugh.
