Why is it that when someone posts something on here asking a question or questions about their love life or life in general that you folks find it necessary to belittle them? I mean do you get satisfaction out of that? Does it make you feel better about yourself? People like me have come here because their looking for guidance, another opinion or maybe just to vent. I mean seriously didn't your parents teach you anything.............I was always told that if I didn't have anything nice to say than don't say anything at all.
What's the deal???? I know I'm not the only person who feels this way. I know this isn't nice but neither are you.........and you know who you are!!
When you post on a public forum like this one, especially if you're asking for "guidance", you have to expect a certain amount of adversity. If all you're looking for is sympathy and affirmation, then what's the point?
I suspect that the majority of the posters you consider mean aren't actually intending to be mean. People just express their opinions and tell you straight out how they feel. If you can't take it, then perhaps you should seek guidance elsewhere?
Based on this thread you started, I can see why some might not respond positively to your posts.
If you're talking about me....um...nah, couldn't be....I am nice and ...um...sweet
I am direct...I don't think people need to be spoon fed...society does enough of that. I also use humor and sarcasm as...TOOLS
And yes, some people have baggage and their posts show that....
I still think you need to define mean and show belittling...if you mean you're not agreed with...
then you, i believe, have come to the wrong place....
Thats why I stay cause most of us here are pretty common sense no nonsense types Men and women!!! And we're funnier than shiznit!!!
Ask Boneheaded...we hammered his a$$...now we like him...cause he's fairly SELF AWARE = has a clue.
The term "old timers" sort of chafes my rear a bit...sounds like we should pull our dentures from the glass and drink our metamucil...
How about the term "regulars"???
"Metamucil" and "regulars" in the same post?
