For me, it's dating and cars.
Dating adds up when you factor in paying babysitters, dinners and events etc.
I dropped >$500 on news years eve this year....but worth every penny.
Otherwise, I am very low maintenance.
Me. I'm definitely his biggest expense. If people only knew!
My DH is pretty frugal and budget conscious. He buys a lot of tools & equipment, but he uses it in order to save us money on labor. His toy is his tractor and the equipment that goes with it, but again, it's saving us money in the long run.
When he spends $$$ on electronics and on the trucks, it's primarily for me, because I requested it (and fortunately for me, he likes my requests. )
His car and shoes. He can't buy a vehicle and leave it the way it is. Leaving the factory sound system in the car is blasphemy to him...and he doesn't just replace the player. He has to replace all the speakers too. Don't get me started on the shoes.
Drums, replacement drumheads, cymbals, drumsticks..I don't care though...he's very good at what he does...he loves playing and it makes him happy and relaxed.
We go grocery shopping together. I buy food and he buys things that have no food value whatsoever such as cool whip, water, diet drinks, etc. When you look at what we buy that is actually food, it is such a small portion of what we take home.
I call him high maintenance, but that is all right because he works hard and I have no complaints except I think the soft diet drinks are really not good for you.
