I'm 45, and no, I don't hide it. If I hid my age, then I couldn't brag about my daughter graduating from UC Berkeley!
I kind of like being this age, because I'm still young enough to go out and have fun, but too old to let the backstabbing and petty drama get to me. I go out and see a cover band each week at a club, and I love it that I don't have the slightest urge to compete with the young girls. It's more fun to watch them trying to outdo each other with the highest heels, skimpiest tops, etc. (By the way, it's an 80s cover band, so at least the music is from my era, anyway! )
while I don't "hide" my age, I don't see any reason to disclose it either unless there is a legitimate reason for it... to me it's no different than someone asking "how much do you weigh"-- it's a rude, intrusive question.
Nah, I'm a young'un. One of my coworkers gets a lot of young guys coming into work trying to get her number. She's always telling them, "I'm too old for you." (she's in her mid 20's), and it always makes me giggle for some reason.
Also, I don't think asking someone's age is as rude and intrusive as asking someone their weight unless it's done in poor taste, IMO. Especially since weight seems to be a much touchier subject these days.
I don't. I am always mistaken for early 20's and I hope that continues on. I remember my father being carded at 45 in El Chico's and my mother being asked about the age differences between her sons. They thought our father was our brother, lol. She was so pissed.
To me age is just a number and it doesn't mean much, I guess I just ignore it. You really only are as old as you feel. That doesn't mean someone who is old enough to have teenagers should try to act like one as far as partying with them or imitating their style, but you don't have to try to fit into any mold if you don't want.
I can't believe how many efing females aren't willing to tell their real age as if statuary rape charges can't destroy a man's life.
Thank god for bars and clubs that check age.
Anyways I am 21 but I look about 16 when I shave.
