Do women prefer taller men or is this just younger women who don't have thier priorities straight? Younger women seem to go for the tall jerks and pass up shorter guys who are nicer and better. Or does this continue with women into thier 30s and up? Just curious? Height doesn't matter to me , but being a short girl, that's probably why.

Well, I do. I'm just speaking for myself. Height is a dealbreaker for me.

I am a 5'3 male myself.

But yes, scientifically women prefer men who are 1.1 times their height. So a 5'3 person would like a person 5'6. It is one of those 40,000 year old traits. These days there is absolutely no reproductive advantage to dating a taller male like there was 40,000 years ago when women relied on men for safety. Also women who prefer taller men usually play in the submissive role of the relationship which is why they prefer taller men (trait of being dominant, aggressive, alpha male).

These days though, the real reproductive advantage comes from the amount of money the male has. More money means able to give higher standard of living and provide for more children.

I've personally never had any problem getting laid, even with my height, gotta play the numbers game

I dont think its a huge deal in reality,as long as your not extremely short face is more important then height i would think

On here though short men are treated as pariahs..

I like my guys to at least be the same height as me, preferably a few inches taller.

I'm 5'8" so this sometimes can be difficult LOL but I can't stand being the tall one... it makes me feel manly. Hey, I'm being honest.

I may be in the minority, but height doesn't matter to me all that much (and I'm tall). I'm not saying I like a really short guy, but if he's one or two inches shorter it's not a deal breaker. But what matters more to me than height is build: I'd rather have a muscular guy who's shorter than I am than a tall scrawny guy.

When I was younger, yes, I prefered tall guys. I am short. I guess they made me feel protected, girley and fragile. However in last few years as I entered my 40's, I don't care nearly as much as when I was younger about height. I don't want to miss out on all the great guys of varies heights.

More like you lost your luster and hence can't be picky anymore. After 30 a woman is at the bottom of the barrel in the looks category, especially compared to a 20 something.

Hmm..well...you can look at it that way. I don't really don't agree with a woman after 30 being at the bottom of the barrel in looks. I have seen plent of older woman who look much better than a lot of the 20 somethings. Also, most woman my age are looking for men around their age. I would think most all 40 something men arent still intersted in ladies 20 years his junior, unless he is out of this world hot, rich or just plain dellusional.
