I have on my stbx towards the end. I found his stack of barely legal magazine and investments he kept secret from me. The magazines big woop, but it kind of irritated me after he called me a perv because I rented broke back mountain, he even wrote pervert with a sharpie on the dvd. I had to explain that to the movie place.
The investments were bargining chips in the division of assets.
Nope, in all honesty I never have. But I did have an ex snoop on me and even though I had nothing to hide it still felt like a total violation and hurt a lot that he didn't trust me. It made me realize how snooping only causes problems so I'd never do that to someone.

This would be the only time I would "snoop", if I found something that gave me cause to investigate further. Otherwise, if someone is going to cheat or do something he shouldn't behind my back, he's going to do it regardless and it will come out eventually.
I have had men do it to me, not because I gave them reason, but because they couldn't be trusted. You know how that goes.

As for your situation, that's different. You came across(?) cause. Then again, that's where I'd probably tell him I don't trust him so I'm checkin' out.
1. Who on here has committed snooping on your current (or then) girlfriend, boyfriend, or spouse?
2. If you have, did you find anything alarming, or was it "fruitless"?
I think that the O.P. should have been the first to answer her own questions.
But I really don't think that most relationships have this level of drama in them.
