When your SO is showing signs that they are interested in intimacy do you think it is selfish to turn them down?

I mean, they are needing something and you are saying, "Nope. Sorry, ain't gonna happen."

Obviously there are times of the month this isn't an option but other than that would it be selfish because YOU are too tired or YOU have to work in the morning or YOU....YOU...YOU. What about THEM THEM THEM??

It depends. I dont think it is selfish if its true and its not a common occurance.
Could your SO find a time for sex when your not dog tired or have to get up early.
My stbx liked to wait for an inconvient time or wake me at 2 am wanting sex, but never considered it before I went to bed or when I went to bed or when I wasnt tired or expecting company even if I struted around naked winking my hoohoo at him. Why does one want to be intimate with someone who is obviously not in the mood unless it is a control issue?

I don't see how someone can enjoy sex when their partner isn't into it -- unless you view your partner as merely a life support system for an orifice.

when 1 person loves the other a lot more, the one who loves less soon takes on the behavior of a drug dealer handling an addict.

Default Selfish to me yes

Is saying no to sex when you don't feel like it selfish?
Sure you don't feel like it so why shouldn't you say no?
But is that the sort of way you'd like your partner to treat
You when you're the one wanting it?
Personally if my partner wanted sex then we'd have sex
Regardless of whether I felt like it or not.
For me it just seems the right thing to do, not to mention
That most people once they're into it end up enjoying it so
Its a win win for everyone - well most of the time anyway.
I want my partner to be happy and fulfilled so why would I say no?

This post is my thoughts on this question it doesn't mean that
What I say is the right answer "but it is what works for me!

In the entire time that I dated my ex, and was married to him, there wasn't a single time that I ever said "no". Frankly I was usually after it just as much as he was. I don't think I could be so tired or feeling so lousy that I would ever say no.
