I dreamed about my ex last night. I don't dream a lot, and this is the first dream I can remember her inhabiting since I left her 15 years ago. I've never been so happy to awake in my own bedroom with my lovely wife next to me. Whew! What a relief!!!

It was so real! We were on a trip and stopped at a hotel. I had stopped outside the door to visit with someone for a few minutes, and when I caught up to her she was ready to buy some junk from a gift shop. "It's only $45,000." (I told her we couldn't afford it.) The room tab was $839, and I didn't get to order dessert with the meal because she said we couldn't afford it. I mean, I awoke remembering exactly what she was like.

I asked my wife if she's ever dreamed about her ex, and she said no. I told her she should try it, cuz I bet she'd appreciate me more after the dream!

Anybody else have nightmares about a distant ex?

Can't say that I have. Yours sounds more like a nightmare.

I dream of still being with my ex husband (whom I left in '96) a lot and I hate it. I wouldn't go back to that mess for anything. I think, actually, they call that a nightmare.

i used to dream of my ex all the time--glad that stopped---got tired of going to confession all the time and promising GOD and the priests that i wouldn't carry out my fantasies or wish evil on another living soul!

It has been over 10 years and still from time to time, I do. There is always (in the dream) a problem.....just like the marriage.
