My ex-girlfriend did the same thing...lied to me about her age...It's a woman thing. I was 36, and she told me she was 40. I believed her and never, for want of insult, asked her for her ID...I came to find out later that she was 44! She looked younger, and so I bought into it. She countered by telling me that I lied as well (?) I asked her how did I LIE? She told me that I lied by telling her I was 5'9" when I was really 5 7.5" lol...justification...ah well
Well, I'd like to add that Catherine Zeta Jones and Mike Douglas are married- with 30 years between them, and Mr. Connery has a plethora of women that would drop trou in a heatbeat to be with him...So that's MY point!

You can have your point. No biggie.
My recent ex is 12 yrs younger than I am and we never even knew the age difference until we had to fill out some papers. He looks older and I looked younger. We were together 7 years.
Men really never fool themselves about waht a younger female is looking for-stawblity most and security. most younger males are looking for the same thing i lder women but lie all males they are more likely to fol aroud on a older woman really;if the age differecnce to too much.
I live in america. I am in my 20's and i am currently dating a man who is 18 years older than I am. He does not have a lot of money. He has an average normal job that is comfortable and does not pay a rediculous amount of money. I have been going out with him for 9 months, and I am completely 100% attracted to him in every way. It's not about the money, obviously, it is about the way I am treated. I am treated with respect, I don't have to play games, I am cherrished, and I am treated like a princess. All the things I've always wanted, but men that I have met around my age don't get. It is very possible to fall for someone 20+ years older without the money and all the goods. At the end of the day, the two of us are just ourselve, and that's all i've ever wanted.
A big age difference (11 years) didn't work out for me. It wasn't the age difference itself that was the problem. We always had plenty of things to talk about, and we shared common interests. He looked older than me too, and I was always the fitter and better looking of the couple. The problem was that he was 29 but emotionally a good 10 years younger than that--party lifestyle, drinking, drugs, unable to mange money, etc. Just well behind the normal bell curve compared to most men his age.
I'd since met other men same age as this guy who are quite different and in many ways, who are more mature than I am. At 29, they have mortgages, wives, young children and are concerned about college funds, saving up and retirement. You know, typical adult lifestyle. So I can't judge based on my experience alone.
Well one of the local business guys here... Let's see he was... 33 and married a 16 year old. 17 years, not quite 20 yet.
There is 17 years between my boy and I as well. Age does matter. Maybe not at first, but eventually it does.
