We watched the Woody Allen movie Vicky Christina Barcelona. It was an okay movie. The thing that got me to thinking is the scene in which Javier Bardem's character walks up the the female characters and invites them to join him for the weekend. Promising them good food and "making" love.
I first thought it was pretty piggish the way he just walked up to them and made the proposal, but after thinking about it he at least was honest and didn't appear to be playing games. The trailer that I posted has a brief scene in the restaurant where he propositions the ladies. The scene goes on a bit more in the actually movie.
It's definitely bold and unconventional, but he was very matter of fact, not swine-like at all. I'd prefer that over springing it on me last minute, when I'm already at his place after him romancing me. He's giving me the option to say "no" upfront.
Why don't I ask Chow about good chick flicks?! And here I wasted my time with some stupid as* movie in a theater yesterday!
As far as the question - we've discussed this approach before. 9 out of 10 times you get slapped; the 10th time you win. In this guy's case I'd venture to say the odds are better than that!
Hmm, at first I thought this was Clive Owen with a beard, but it isn't.
He wasn't all the "hot" in No Country for Old Men.
He was incredibly creepy.
I'm a guy and he gave me the total creeps.
Ooh, he was. He had that creepy pageboy haircut too. But he looks like Denny Duquette on Grey's Anatomy (can't remember the actor's name, but he's a ringer for Bardem) and Robert Downey, Jr., who's a cutie-pie.
