Have you ever had someone ask you to dance for them--not naked, just dance? Did you do it? I don't mind dancing with someone, but having them ask you to dance for them?

Those who asked someone to dance for them--you can chime in with any thoughts on this. Please do.

Apply for any job and its nearly always the same old song and dance. Have you ever been hired?

Brilliant. You are brilliant this morning (including the *when*to*marry* answer). Can't give you reps yet.

Your ego gets rubbed in both situation - job search, and dancing for someone.

I think its demeaning for someone to ask you to dance for them, every possible example I can think of puts the dancer on a lower social rung than the person making the request,
My grandfather was Creek Indian in Texas, and when he came to town, cowboys would shoot at his feet and make him dance when he was young,(yep just like in the westerns)

Ok, that's one, it's demeaning. Thank you.

Totally depends on the context. It would definitely turn me on to have my girl dance for me and I don't think in that context it would be demeaning, if anything it's a celebration of the human form and the fact you find your SO physically attractive. On the flip side, I would be a little embarrassed at first, but if my girl wanted me to do it I would.

I'm leaning more toward this, so far. Thank you.

Well, when I was actually a dancer (jazz and ballet), I would get asked this. Usually from someone who didn't know me very well, had never seen me dance, and wanted a demonstration. So I'd do a pirouette or something to satisfy their curiosity. But I think what you are asking is more along the lines of a romantic situation?
