I'm usually a giver - an "er" most of the time.

And I usually get rave reviews.

I care more for my own pleasure than for evaluation and validation. That's not to say I'm really as selfish as to not reciprocate, but if I have to honestly state my first choice, it is receiving.

Gosh it certainly isn't for evaluation/validation. What an odd statement. But I do prefer to give pleasure rather than to receive. I always have...what can I say....I'm just that way.

Aaah, the pleasers... the teachers, the nurses, the social workers, etc... I don't think you're in any of these fields, though...

I am in a position where I help people and solve problems. I've been doing that for years, and it's enormously satisfying. Not a teacher, but I could do it. A nurse or social worker, however, requires more "giving" than I've got.

Ha-ha! That's why I was surprised. You just don't strike me as the most "giving" type...

I'm not. Sometimes I think I'm incredibly selfish. Ah well...I do what I can...and I am trying to be better about it!!

Oh, don't worry, dear! It's not like I'm some big-time good samaritan!
