I am just a paranoid parent, afraid to let go, for fear my son will hear, therefore, he usually gets the "quick" treatment, with my help.
Tell your son not to hang outside the bedroom door. Tell him you are moving furniture. Tell him if he bothers you he has to clean all the bathrooms in the house...for the rest of the summer, and the garage...and wash the cars. Send him to his room for an hour of reading or to the family room to watch a movie.

Seriously, what if he lives at home until he is 23...you not going to do it until he moves out?

Nevermind...your hubby will probably have his bags packed and rent him an apartment as soon as he is legal and graduated from high school just so he can get some time alone with you.

Even if he did hear you...it's not that big a deal and probably would only happen once. I really think you are worried too much about it (and your son should be able to entertain himself for a while). I heard my parents once....ONLY ONCE. From that day on whenever that bedroom door was closed I was no where near...I was outside or way on the other side of the house. If I had had an ipod it would have up as loud as I could stand it.

In honesty, I'm with your husband.

He feels horny, and sex is obviously important in a relationship.

Isn't this why people say "if you hear your mommy making noises in her room, while daddy is there also, don't worry, daddy isn't hurting mommy" to kids?

ROFLMAO.. for you guys that are telling them to go ahead you clearly never experienced the horror of hearing or walking in on your parents. That's something that a child will never forget.

Oh for heaven's sake. Sex between married people is the most natural thing in the world, and it not only won't hurt him, it might even be good for him to hear his parent's loving on each other. He listened once out of curiosity b/c he's at an age where he's just finding out about things and he's probably terribly grossed out and fascinated at the same time, but now that he's satisfied his curiosity, I doubt he'll listen again. But meanwhile you're depriving hubby of a little bit o' heaven. As someone pointed out earlier, kids have been hearing their parents going at it since time began, in much smaller houses with no TV's or Ipods and somehow we all survived. I remember hearing my parents once when i was a teenager and thinking, "Oh good Lord, aren't they a little old for that?" They were in their late 30's
