Why is this so prevalent? Why are so many men (and women, as well) who are married, with children, house, etc., compromising that for same-sex sexual experiences? This seems to be the newest and strongest wave in spousal cheating. Does it show that many people are involved in sham marriages?

Do they drink White Zinfandel? According to bartenders, that means they are actually gay and just faking it.

Many people would disagree with that statement.

Wanting to have sex with a man doesn't make me anything else but HETERO!!!

OK. That's their prerogative, but I thought heterosexuals were people who exclusively had sex with the opposite sex. If you are a man, and you like women, you are hetero. If you are a man, and you like women and men, you are bisexual, which means you are not heterosexual. If you are a man, and you like men, you are homosexual, or gay. That's how I thought it always worked.

Me neither. When people feed into labels, they also have to run full on into the river of denial.

Yes, me too. But there are other things going on, as well. Like a man or a woman who will accept the advances of another man or woman without actively seeking it, thus, in their minds, they are still heterosexual.

I'm just saying, it can get very blurry when it comes to labels. Sexuality isn't really about who you have sex with, it's about who you're oriented and attracted to. At least, that's how I've always conceived of it.

My real question is why this is occurring.

I don't think they do. And if these married men are interested in having sex with other men, that means they're gay.

As for why a gay man would get married and have children, well, social pressure like anything else.

And if you don't like that, then do something to change the relative intolerance that keeps people from coming out of the closet in many areas of the country.
