Yeah, me too. I love being alone and really NEED much time alone. The only one I can always be with is our cat.

Sometimes, I prefer the peace and solitude of my own company.

How about you, would you rather spend the weekend alone or with someone you really had no chemistry with and little in common but were another human being to spend time with, when a true friend was not available???
It depends what your personality type is. Being an introvert, I'm quite comfortable spending a lot of time by myself. I have to really it off with someone to want to spend a significant amount of time with them. But I know people who thrive on being around other people. They can't stand being alone.

I know how painful it can be to be alone when everyone else seems to be with a group of friends. Many times I would join the group even though I did not like them that much just to feel accepted. Can you relate?

I took a 3.5 week vacation once by myself. I met all kinds of interesting people along the way.

As everyone here knows, I have absolutely NO PROBLEM with my own company. I am genuinely happy and I really like myself - a lot. So, no ... if I am alone, I am never lonely. However, that being said ... I have a lot of friends with whom I share many, many interests. I would say that 90% of my friends are real friends and not just acquaintances. These are people I can call on any time of the day or night and they will drop whatever they're doing to come to my aid. Fortunately, I have not had to call on anyone for anything dire.

No, I would rather spend a weekend alone than with someone who is a bore.

Why? Either way you're spending the weekend with a bore.
