I think that's why it seems to some people that I deal really well with break-ups, but in truth once I make up my mind not to be with someone, I can't really put it in reverse. Same thing goes if I am betrayed. They are rarely around long enough to see the affects of my "shutdown", because I'd prefer to not ever see their face again if I have a choice.
