No, you've got it backwards. If you have sex to cement a relationship, that's hooking. If you have it for fun, that's just normal, fun sex. If you're having sex to seal the deal, you'd better also have a contract signed.

now the next day upon further reflection the guy is having some doubts and now he wants to go separate ways but the girl is suggesting all sorts of future plans with him.

Do you consider this guy has done an unethical thing? Say if there was sex involved, then is there an implicit obligation that he has to at least "try" to be her boyfriend from that point on?

He has an obligation to treat her with respect,but absolutely no obligation tobe her boyfriend!
