My wife is about is as strong willed, outspoken and open as you can get. She's typical Sherman Oaks girl. I can totally see how people who do not know here can get the "stuck up bit*c" vibe from her but she's not at all like that. She still gets hit on to this day wherever she goes so this renders your argument invalid.
Please dont take this the wrong way, but coming from someone who lives/lived near you for most of his life, if you are unable to find a boyfriend here in Sherman Oaks/Studio City/ Encino area there must be something wrong with you.

i love tj. i was there last week. my dentist is there (i have a crap insurance plan) and he is the best dentist i have ever seen in my life. i get my perscription mouthwash there. the brand is spanish all the way from spain (no joke) and does wonders for my teeth. this reminds me i should have bought more bottles. i will probably place an ad on craigslist for someone in san diego to go there, buy them, and i could pay them for the mouthwash and their troubles.
Who is your dentist? I am looking for a great Mexican dentist. Haven't been in years because of no insurance at all.
I've only driven through TJ on the way to Ensenada. The only memorable thing was the border - it has to be the most disgusting border I've ever seen! The city itself didn't look too bad, though, at least during the day.
You're lucky to have found a good dentist! I'm sure some are good down in Nogales, too, but I'm still afraid to venture... Should something go wrong, I'd be on my own.
Last time I walked across the border coming back from a day in TJ, I came with three of my friends, all female. I was the only one to get stopped.
