i think that its a form of affection. platonic and romantic.
its nice to be touched by some one who cares about you. rub or scratch my back and i will love you forever. i
ts nice to know that some one cares about you and is open enough to manifest it through a slight gesture such as holding hands or placing a hand on your shoulder.
it really is nice.

I guess. I hate it when people hug me hello too. Keeps your boobs in your corner lady..I do not want them squished into me! Or men that hug a little too long.... I need my space.
Real affection I see in the eyes. I prefer the truth of the soul instead of a manfestation of repeated behavior through flesh. It just seems very candy and fake to me.
Im still young but me and my bf hold hands sometimes.. It's not something we do everytime were walking. We do it alot in the car too. I think it is sweet when people hold hands though =)

I don't know about holding hands in the car I am to busy shifting holding the wheel and changing radio stations to be able to do that and drive safely.
Me and my sweetie stopped by to pick up a few things at the grocery store today and, as usual, walked into the store holding hands. We do this all the time, never even really think about it--we hold hands just about everywhere we go with our graying heads shinning in the sun.
A lady sitting in her vehicle shouts to us as we walk by how sweet we looked and my DH says to her "well, she's my girl!" (Because I'm three years younger, he often tells others that I'm his "child bride!") We're celebrating our thirty year anniversary in a couple of months.
Afterwards I started noting that I didn't see any other couples holding hands and I thought maybe we're just different. So I'm asking:
Do you still hold hands with your spouse or SO? Why or why not?
No. It annoys me when I feel I am being WALKED like a child by the wrist or something and then his hands get all clammy and sweaty on mine
My husband and I have been married for 4 and a half years and we often still hold hands. Sometimes we can't hold hands because we are holding child hands
We aren't that big on PDA, but we do quick kisses and hand holding. We've even held hands at the gym when my husband pushes the levels too high while trying to impress me and I ask him if I can get him the AED

You're simply not a "touchy-feely" person. That doesn't mean those who are, are any less sincere than you are. They just express themselves differently than you.
I come from a close family; we hug, hold, kiss. That's part of MY soul.
i am very single, but i have always loved it when a guy has held my hand. i find it very romantic and sweet
