Well my husband works in a bar/resturant managing a kitchen. He also cleans carpets on the side. So yesterday he took my son to the doctor which afterwards I tried to call him to see how the appt went. No Answer No Call Returned (this was at about 12:45). On my way home from work he called me (5:30) to say he was just finishing a carpet job and was on his way home. I knew he had a job at 1:00 but it was just one room so you can imagine my surprise when at 5:30 he was just finishing up. When I commented on the time he said "Oh, I got a phone call from a fellow co-worker (female) and she need a room cleaned." I simply said oh well good. Then he proceeded to tell me she was unable to pay him so she gave him a back massage!!! Even though she is a non-practicing massage therapist i was very upset and still am. I found this to be very sneeky (in that he, I now found out, knew about this payment arrangement before ever getting to her home) and unacceptable. Had he returned my call from earlier and discussed this it would have been easier to accept (maybe) I also found out her boyfriend wasn't there. So I am left to wonder?? What would you do???

hmmmm...sounds fishy to me. I would let him know this does not fly with you. In the future should this situation arise again he needs to tell her that payment in the form of a message must be made TO YOU
I totally agree with Oildog. That phone leash, Uh, I mean cord seems awfully short. I think I understand why he didnt call you and tell you the deal before hand.

Oooohhh yes, I would definitely wonder. A back massage, really? Is that how people pay now? I think he may have done more than that. Maybe he's trying to hint to you about something.
