I don't understand what nailpolish or color of hair or clothes has to do with being or looking 'skanky'. To me skanky is the type female you see on 'Springer', trashy, cheap, easy; they can wear designer clothes and spend thousands on looking better, the skanky-ness is coming from the inside ..but like someone else here said, it's in the eye of the beholder, everyone has their own opinion, just like if you asked what color eyes is nicest....
I think it's a matter of hygiene. Most skanks I've seen appear to be covered with a layer of film. The fact that they're sexually indiscriminate increases the odds of carrying some plague that will rot off your rod of power. And, if their tattoo is more than a year old, it looks as if they've got some hideous, deformative skin disease. How's that?
The skanky-ness does come from the inside as the other poster mentioned. Like the saying, you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Whatever the clothes may be, the skanky-ness still comes out in the end.
The "skank look" isnt just about how a woman dresses, its mostly about how she carries herself and her personality. Like all the women you see on "Rock Of Love" are skanky. Some of their identifying characteristics:
Bad hair weaves
Random miscellaneous tattoos
Tramp Stamp tattoos
Smokers
Too thick lipstick
They cuss all the time
They always scream "Wooooooooooo" or "Yeah baby" if someone says party or opens drinks
Overly tanned leathery skin with pimples
Being 22 years old but looking 38
These are the most common identifiers for skanks. Tight clothes, no bras, tanned skin are NOT exclusive to skanky women. Many women I see (and some I know) who are far from skanky dress like this but its more for style and sometimes comfort.
I agree...I surfed by Rock of Love, and then saw a version with two black guys. Thought both shows brought out the skankiest wimmin they could find. Low esteem skank=good ratings for MTV/VHI!?!?
The ultimate. Although I have to put Angelina Jolie right on up there. The woman is purely a media creation. I wouldn't even cross the street to talk to her.

Megan Fox? Hardly a skank. Very far from it. Sounds like you just dont like her for whatever reason. But she is definitely someone that no one would consider having the tale-tell signs of "skanyness".

I always ask this question of guys who do not like it. Usually its the too tan skin that looks thick or red nails (which what?). The oddest one was that "skanks look oily" LOL
Men and women always say confidence is a turn-on. The "skank" look makes it look like she's trying too hard. If a woman had confidence in herself, she wouldn't need to go to such lengths to impress guys.
