If I kiss you then punch you in the stomach which would you believe.

If I am your best friend and i tell you I have your back, then laugh at you when someone makes a joke about you and then i walk off with that person who made the joke what do you believe.

Usually actions and body language tell on the lying words.

Very true but words hurt too.

There's nothing worse than a person who tries to placate you with words, then turns around and does the exact opposite.

This is why women love bad boys - at least we know he's going to be a d-bag up front.

Wow. I just had this same conversation with someone.

I think with "words" people tell you not only what you want to hear, but also their down deep desire to do what they say. But actually doing it - "actions" - may be difficult or impossible. I used the example of smoking. You may say you're quitting, but I smell smoke on you. You can quit after the next cigarette, or the one after that, but you haven't really quit, have you? You may want to, and tell me you are, but you're doing something else.

But I am so good with the words!

So, do apologies mean anything then? If words are less important.

Should we stop apologizing and just do better next time?

I'm one of those perfect people though who loves himself AND makes fun of others...

It's really the best of both worlds.....

Talk is cheap.

Used to be, I could be easily swayed. Not anymore. Experience has taught me that people believe the absolute best about themselves, and will manage to rationalize even the worst actions. Heck, on CD, there are a lot of people who say all the pious things, but how many of them translate those ideals into action? 10%?
