In case you aren't kidding it's because someone spent a little vacation in the county spa for women.

because she had sex with a minor? Had he nailed her teen aged daughter it would not have raised an eyebrow. But because he had an older woman society thinks she is sick or a criminal?

I guess I just disagree with too many of the puritanical laws that have been inflicted on us.

FWIW, although I was sexually active from age 14, I never had an "older woman" until I was around 19. She taught me more in the few weeks we were together than I had learned in the prior 5 years. I discovered a lot about what a woman wants in bed and I became a far better lover. I only wish I had had an older woman at the outset. BTW, I am over 60 now..........

Actually, more men get nailed for this as a criminal act than women do. And when men do it they are thought of as twice as bad. It's sex with a minor - period. That was one sorry ass woman - married and her son's best friend right where I walked in and where her children walked in on it.

I don't see a morally significant difference between her son's best friend or some kid she picked up at the mall........

And yes, I do concur that men get nailed for this far more often than women, and, at the risk of being considered sexist, rightly so. Almost by definition a minor female has far less defensive options than a male of the same age. Men tend to be far more predatory than women. A young woman is far more vulnerable than men.

Perhaps this is a double standard, but few young men will reject an older woman. Most young women will reject an older man......there are exceptions, I know. Things like power and wealth can make a man more "attractive" to a woman of any age. I really think we are hard wired for men to have multiple sex partners and for women to seek the most vital, potent, and successful men. Our laws seem to have circumvented this to a large degree.

But double standard or not, if there was no duress involved in the sexual act, I really believe there was no crime committed. If any party of any relationship does not give full consent, regardless of age, it is a crime.

.

So when you were 12 and 14 it wouldn't bother you to walk in and see your mom having sex with your best friends? I mean come on. We're talking about emotional scars to her children here.

Like 4th grade, during "silent reading time", this one boy would always pick his nose and then eat it while reading.

Of course not. I grew up on a farm and knew where babies came from and what put them there. If the kids get emotional scars then the kids have been way too sheltered.
