I was at the grocery store today. My checker was someone that went to college with me. I have not seen her in years. At that time I was 18, 5'6" & 105 lbs. Painfully thin really. Now I am 34, 5"6" & 130lbs. I said "Oh hi Lisa how are you?" She smirked and said "Oh goodness you have gotten so fat I hardly recognized you!" grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I took the high road but I didn't want to. Heifer.
Funny thing as I clicked on this thread, my cat who is a female started meowing and tried to jump on my lap.
We have 2 that sit outside our school and rip apart the other parents who come by to pick up their kids. I hardly go to pick up my son (I drop him off, hubby picks him up).
He pointed out these two heifers to me and said "They make fun of everyone who walks by."
What is this, first grade? Gee, grow up. As far as what your 'friend' said, well, she is obviously unhappy, just like everyone else who cuts others down for no reason.
And, by the way, a person being obese, chunky, fat, ugly, in a wheel chair, limping, or whatever still doesn't deserve to be picked on...

I am shocked. How can someone with 5"6 height with 130 lbs be fat?
You know that something was evidently bugging her in her life, right?
I am actually very comfortable with my body. I have muscle, definition, curves that I didn't have then. It was just a mean dirty thing to say, I wasn't prepared, & it stung. I had heard (small town) that she lost her nursing license for diverting drugs but I would NEVER have asked her about that. I was genuinely glad to see her as I had once considered her a friend. Heifer.
I didn't read this before I read the next post (I know, bad me!).
Well, she's going to hurt for a long, long time. And kudos to you for taking the high road. There was no need for that remark. But she had to hurt you because she's hurting for herself...ah, she had to leave the profession you are currently in!!!
I'd kill her with kindness in the future. She made her own bed; now she has to lay in it.
