You could of said "And the drugs seem have taken their toll on you too". But of course, after that it would of been on and she would of jumped across the register and it would of gotten ugly. It would be a shame if she had to lose her only job because of it.
Okay, so you used the high road, pay backs are a beach, next time, make sure you go through her checkout, have your line prepared, wait until your just about ready to walk away to lay it on her, then smile.

Wow. Just got in from a long shift to find a ton of responses. Thank you. Now that I vented and am over it I am glad I wasn't rude back. Thought about her a lot today - she looked tired. It can't be easy to come back to the little town you grew up in & have everyone know you made bad life choices.
Well she's working as a cashier....so enough said lol....way to use that college degree LOL...
