Oh, no other choices. Either one or the other.

Career. Single doesn't mean sexless. I want things my way. No need ever for a divorce. Nice fat bank account. I can always find fun for Mr./Ms Happy ! As a matter of fact, he/she can help me with my career.

A very, very happy married life includes a great husband who has a successful career, perhaps a career of my own, children and eventually grandchildren, a nice home, several pets and finally the ability to slide into retirement with no worries...A happy married life is a combination of all things that are good....just takes a while to find that someone to be happy with. You don't have to be single to have a very, very successful career. You can have it all and be married as well.

Well, since I consider myself single when just dating (as opposed to being exclusive), I choose single and successful.

So is that a very very happy marriage as a stay at home wife and mother to some human children?

I'd rather have a successful career to being a happy stay at home wife and mother. Mostly because I've never had any interest in having kids. But being a stay at home wife would not be very fulfilling to me as a person. I also need to make my own money. I couldn't bear to have to live on an allowance from my husband. I realize that in a marriage, technically his wages would be "our money" but it just wouldn't feel right to me.

Anyway, having a great career over a great marriage would be my choice. I am a complete and content human being without a man in my life. Having a s/o is a nice accessory to have around though.
