I made chicken soup tonight, too! Thai-style. It has citrus and jalapenos and garlic. I figure that has to do some good, right? Chow offered to make it, but I said I could do it. I'm still recovering, but my cold/flu, whatever it was, doesn't sound nearly as bad as everyone else's right now. We make a double batch, so I don't have to cook tomorrow. And...Chow did the rest of the chores for me. Like cleaning the litter box, for one? Aww, now that's love...

His last school at least sent a little note saying that he was missed...etc...
He's fighting pneumonia and they're pressuring him to get his work in??? Are they going to send guys out to your home to rough him up a little if he doesn't comply? Sheesh! I thought that was the whole point of staying home, you're too sick for school!

Thats what I thought....how compassionate! I thought I was just being to over protective... I don`t care for this other school that he had to go to, when we moved, but I am trying really hard..... I just keep thinking...one more year....

Just tell her you are more than happy to send him back to school but you REALLY feel he should sit right next to her so she can watch him throughout the day in case he needed his temp taken, a kleenex, to vomit, or in case he passed out...she will not get snarky again

One more week with this sub teacher.....
His other teacher had a baby, and was out for 6 weeks right after school started. I did meet her in Kmart one day. She looked like a "cold fish."
She never smiled, no expression. Shew!
I told my husband that she needed to get....... she was wayyyy to uptight looking! Grumpy, and she is not that old!

Been there , my friend, except it wasn't my throat, it was my head that hurted. Have you tried the salt/water solution to help you ? I have never actually tried it, but my folks always tell me to try it.

Hey temp - I just tried it...and sonofagun it DID help! Thanks girl!

I googled it and it seems that it's something to do with the salt causing a moisture increase. Maybe I'll be able to get some sleep in a bit.
