When your dating what's wrong with keeping it real? Stop the false advertisements and fakeness!
If you a dude that has no ambition and doesn't want to do anything better than make $10 an hour. Say that. Quit wasting other people's time. They can either deal with it or they can't.
If you are a chick that can't cook and likes to go out, let that be known.
If you want to live off your girl and call the shots on her finances, then why can't you state that?
If you don't want anything out of life and you want a woman to boss and control you, why can't you tell her that's what you want?
I feel that at 30 and above the bait and switch objective is garbage. No need to fake it till you make it. Why can't each person let the other person choose if they can accept the package or not? To do anything less is just wasting your time and theirs.
What are your thoughts?

Boy, I sure hope you ain`t one of those who date online, without any contact before the actual meeting.
Honesty is a good thing, but rarely gonna happen within the first meetings with a new one. You find out all the garbage a while later....

I think people try to put their best foot forward when they first meet someone and that leads to fact enhancement. I agree with you, it would be nice if people were just honest right off the bat.

Ah burned again eh? Well, I think I know why men do that anyway. I was on a 4th date with a man exactly my age(50), and he finally let on that he was looking to get married for the first time and have children of his own. Obviously that's not going to happen with me, but turns out he was hoping to get a FWB thing going with me while he looked for Ms. Right, even though I'd been clear from the first date that casual sex was not an option. Of course he tried to argue that FWB is not casual sex, but at my age I've been around the block a few times.

I try my best to let my dates know what I want. And how I am. But to be honest if he is not calling or emailing me..I would think he lost interest...therefore I am not wasting my time pursuing futher.
I let them up front know in the past I had a bad temper(I'm Irish go figure)..and I have been working on it for a year.
I let them know I am a single mom whom wants a relationship. Not a FWB. At the ripe age of 32 I am tired of nonsense and games I want the "real deal".

I think people are more than one dimensional and it takes time to get to know them, really know them. I can honestly say, looking back, the one person I know the least about was the person I lived with for three years

I agree, it's wrong to force someone to live with something they didn't consent to. Some people can't cut it being themselves but they don't want to work on it and they don't want to be alone. It sucks.
And then country music was born.
