Forgetting physical attraction for a moment, what are some personality traits or habits that turn you off in the opposite sex?
I'm completely turned off by a guy who doesn't know how to befriend people. A little smile and friendly banter isn't so hard and I love doing it. I used to know a guy that I was somewhat interested in, but all interest was lost after we were thrust into a situation full of new people and he just stood to the side, unsure of what to do. Sorry, shy boys

Speaking as a shy girl , shy boys can be amazing once you get to know them... I know, personal preferences...
Funny, my wife used to do the same thing at social gatherings, resulted in quite a few arguments.
Personality turn off: cocky, can't stand a cocky woman. Confidence is impressive.
There are many personality traits I can't stand in people.
First off, I hate arrogant, rude a$$holes. Can't stand people who always have to have the last word, always be right, and will gladly LIE for that 'honor'. (I have a brother-in-law like this, and I really struggle with it.)
Can't stand men who think the world owes them a living, and they're often highly irresponsible dead-beats.

A chick who spits.
A chick who blows her nose right in front of me. Go to the bathroom for that.
A chick who screams "Wooooooooo Party". That is so classless to me.
Cigarette smokers.
Negative. Constantly complains. Every time she opens her mouth its something negative.
Control. I do not tolerate men that want to try to control how, what, and if I do something. The first sign of a control freak is when that person says that I need to dump my male friends. Forget it, dude - your a** is grass!
Guys who think they know it all, and arrogant.
People who look their noses down on others.
