Yeah, that sounds pretty normal. I also think it's a good thing because otherwise a lot of people would never try anything new. I once went fishing with a guy because he was hot. Years later, long after we split up (only lasted a few months) I still love to go fishing.

I think it's normal to compromise your tastes a little in the early stages of dating when you are really into someone and expand your horizons a little, regardless if they are hot or not.
