Secondly, Jews are an ethic group (ethnoreligious), have you ever heard of Ashkenazic Jews or Sephardi Jews?
Trust me, I've dated enough New york Jewish men to know that many, if not most consider themselves to be an ethnicity separate from strictly Caucasian. Many Jewish men have different features that contrast from regular Anglo-Saxon white's. Such as longer noses, darker hair etc...
I wish I could have dated a "dark chocolate" lady. Just never had the opportunity. I always thought black chicks didn't dig on the white guys that much.

If a cute Latin or White Guy refused to talk to me because he thinks because Im also Black that Im only into big macho Black guys...I'd have to slap some sense into him. But then again its vice versa
To the OP...Of course there's still prejudice and always will be...may as well get used to the stares, the comments, all that...some folks are just anti mixed race relationships, just like whites still hate blacks, straights hate gays, and whatever else to this day...You have to build a strong backbone and decide that it's your life and you're free to share it with your choice of human being. There will always be someone against something you say or do...

Now as for Bensonhurst, in my experience many of the folks there stare at Black people as if we are from the Planet Zaytar or about to rob or mug them regardless of whether we are alone or with our s.o. of another racial or ethnic origin. Pay them no attention. It just feeds them. Focus on yourself and your love. Worked for me.
People don't understand mixed race relationships, nor do they like it.
