Is your husband into sports? Is his favorite team winning or losing? There was a study done that showed sports fans whose team is winning had a higher level of testosterone. Men whose teams were loosing had a lower level of testosterone. If he is into sports then go with him to his favorite team's game. If it's not close to home, make a weekend trip of it including staying at a nice hotel room. If his team wins and you share in his excitement then that excitement will carry over to the bedroom. Another potential problem could be stress he's feeling at work. Such stress will lower his sex drive. Does he spend a large amount of time viewing internet porn? Check behind him to see what he's looking at to see what he's interested in. If he's spending too much time on internet porn this his sexual gratification is being transferred from you to the images online.

Well you said it. Don't shoot the messenger. Sex is not around to make us happy. Its to make us reproduce. I wish I could join nearly the rest of humanity and live in the delusion that sex is here to make us happy. However at least as grim as it is, I have a target of manipulation unlike an associated fantasy. I remember when I saw an ordinary women dressed nicely and then I thought that is using the imagination the right way.
I have a few good years left or so before my hormones start a steep drop off the cliff. I can work out, pop pills for wood and when that inevitably fails, there is always the garden. In the US we tend to enter this state a bit early from diet and a lack of exercise. So the good news is there is more one can do about it than would otherwise be the case. When I was 35 they said I looked 28. Now at nearly 42 they say I look 35. Well I ended up being 35 after all. If I make it to 90, perhaps I can pass for 82 and get some hot blue haired companionship.
So again, my advice is to stop accelerating the process with bad diet, poor exercise, chopping the hair, smoking or tanning booths. Lastly, a women does not have to look like they are in their 20s all their lives if they are interested in hobbies like knitting.
Can I just say even bigger girls can look GOOD in lingerie?

Men like mystery, and they like a challenge. Maybe your husband is bored because you're too available. Become invested in your own life! Get in great shape, read books about sex and sensuality, get a hobby, hang out more with your friends. Become someone that is sexy, because it comes from your self-confidence and your love of life, not from your insecure desire to please your husband.
