No they are not overrated. I've been every hair color and I can tell you there's more attention as a blonde than any other color. My body hasn't changed either so it can't be that.

Just curious...but why are (some) White women so obsessed with being blonde? I have heard numerous references and "fond" rememberances to being a "blonde" child and a sort of disdain for the hair darkening.

(I wouldn't dare ask this question IRL)

Speaking from experience, when it darkens it turns into that dirty, dishwater blonde. I'm not obsessed with being blonde, but I do keep blonde highlights in my hair because I like it.

<<<This~Exactly!

My hair color now is mousy brown. It's not like my SIL's beautiful dark brown hair. It's mousy and dishwater colored. It's not flattering. My eyebrows still have a good amount of blonde in them and so do my eyelashes (dark mixed in too). So I have a choice of coloring it darker or lighter (like I said before) and lighter seems to look better with my coloring.

Hell yes Pam is smoking hot. Everyone has their off days. She's not rich & famous for being ugly

Not only have I been told I kind of resemble her but my sister REALLY looks like her....it's uncanny

I'm not a fan of blondes. Never understood the obsession. For me as far as natural hair colors:

Jet black hair, light skin, blue/green eyes is my favorite.
A very close 2nd, almost tie, Red hair green/blue eyes. Scarlett Johansson in the new Xmen movie. *Drool*!!!!!

If we are counting all including the fakes...I love purple hair, hot pink hair and blue hair. Got a real soft spot for purple or hot pink hair. Fortunately I'm seeing more and more woman in their 30's rocking hot pink hair.
