Ya know what is funny about all this??..women will complain when a guy uhr..rushes through the intersection.. and still complain when he takes his time..either you want a guy with a slow hand or the dude who leaves in a heated rush..to quote a song from long ago..
Let the guy be..and if you choose to discuss it with him, don't come across like his actions..or lack there of, are offensive...these things happen from time to time..
And yes, there are guys who are multiple o-gzrs...and alot of times , it is all about practice..this is why "alone time" is good for us guys

There are one or two guys here who have major issues, I won't say who they are, they've got some real mommy didn't love me issues.
They must have had their poor little hearts broken by some evil woman.

My sister had the same problem with her hubby, She discovered he had a bottle of Viagra hidden and she counted them. A week later and after no 'sessions" she went and counted them again. Several were missing,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,she kicked him out and they divorced....

OP, i wouldn't worry about it, unless it begins to happen every time !
it has happened to me on the odd occasion, it could be anything.
it might have been because he was tired, it might have been because he wasn't 100% in the mood to start with.
he may have had the most random thought pop into his head which distracted him.
i don't fully understand how a woman's orgasm works, but i gather it's a mental, as well as physical thing. you have to "think" it to happen, or release it, as well as be physically stimulated.
my g/f describes how she can pretty much choose to either have a few little ones, or hold it for a biggie at the end.
we men do not have such a luxury, we only have one squirt, so we don't wanna waste it.
i do find the thinking thing applies to me, once you've been at it for a while, then you start to try to prepare yourself for launch !
if ANYTHING distracts you during that crucial phase, it breaks concentration.
as someone else said, it could be grocery lists, it could be the need to fart at a REAL inappropriate moment, it could be sports results, maybe he thinks about how busy work is, or, just doesn't have the energy for an hour of holding himself up and thrusting !
you can't control these thoughts, your brain is always active.
i sometimes find that if the bed starts squeaking, i suddenly become concerned that the neighbours can hear it, and, rather than concentrating on the good lovin', i'm trying to subtlely wriggle to the bit where it doesn't squeak !!
once that concentration has gone, it can be difficult to get it back. it depends what the first thought was.
it gets to the point when you then start worrying about WHY you can't finish, then that distracts you even more !! it's a vicious circle.
once you get yourself in "the zone" where you're focused on what you're doing, there's nothing else in the world, except you two, but if you have a few fumbles first, sometimes it's hard to get there !
if it ever happens, i always make sure that she's ok, and gets her satisfaction.
I kind of have a rule... I know it's not a wonderful thing in sex to have rules, but I hold true to this rule.
I need for my girlfriend to climax at least 5 times before I "finish" as you like to call it. I call it something else, but for the purposes of this thread, we'll call it "finishing". I do realize that a few languages call it finishing (one girl said it to me in French like that, and another in Spanish).
