Lol! The funny thing is that for me that's kind of true. Not that I want everyone to be attracted to me, but that I am a total perfectionist in all areas of my life. I can iron my shirt so that there are no wrinkles, I can turn in a perfect (or near perfect report), etc. but my body just doesn't do what I want it to. I want it to be perfect dammit! And it never will be no matter what I eat, how much time I spend at the gym, etc.

I think allot of it is women fishing for compliments..
Another reason is women want to be universally attractive to everyone plus womens competitive nature to look better then other women..
You cant tell me a pretty good looking or cute women who gets hit on allot doesnt know shes somewhat attractive and thinks shes ugly but wants to be seen as attractive to everyone or prettier then most..
Dont blame men for the society..Sex sells more then ever so men in 6 pick abs are all over commercials so why dont you see as many men complain that theyre not mr six pack as women do not looking like a model?
Why do women feel the need of validation for society or the status quo more then men?
If you get compliments and have had enough men and women tell you youre attrtacive which most decent women looking get WHY isnt that enough?

Dont get me wrong theyres womens with real self esteem issues but theyres also tons of women hiding behind that who are really self absorbed narcisists
Ok, I know a lot of women, they are not super models, but they're very attractive and sexy. They have nice bodies (in my opinion).
But they hate their bodies...

The more I know women, the more I think that the majority of women hate their bodies.
Everything...
facial features
breasts
tummy
thigh/legs
the garden (so many women find it ugly... that's totally stupid, especially when so many guys just think it's fantastic)
what is it?
and when will women become more intelligent about analyzing their body?
or we, as men, will have to suffer, because the woman is immature in her appreciation of her feminin phsyical features, we have to put up with her insecurity, her low self-esteem...

my girlfriend has an awesome body, she looks great in a bikini and jean shorts, her breasts are awesome, the garden is beautiful, and yet all she can do is COMPLAIN!
tummy too fat, thighs too fat, knees look strange, arms are flabby, breasts average, etc...
she works out almost everyday! the woman has a body to die for...
the whole thing is totally ridiculous.
women need to get it together in their brains...
they can be really messed up

It's easier to just complain that they don't like how they look.
I'm fine with my body except the fact that I'll never have a flat stomach after six kids without plastic surgery. I look great in clothes, though, so I'm okay with it.
Thats cool...you may do what you feel..I just dont think there is anything wrong with porn..and a good deal of people dont either. I believe that anything that is done in excess is unhealthy and potentially dangerous. But porn in moderation, I dont think is inherently bad. I realize that there are statistics that conclude that porn is bad for relationships..just as there are many statistics that conclude that porn can greatly improve a relationship and its sexual components. But anywho, as you said everyone is free to believe what they want or choose to watch it or abstain from watching it.
Open a magazine, go to the movies, turn on the TV. It's not hard to figure out. Add to that the fact that men become 'distinguished' as they age and women just get matronly, old, and flabby.
Women in general are hypercritical of their bodies. They see all their worst parts.....magnified. I don't think men see themselves the same way women do. One of the best cartoons I ever saw was a 2 parter. A nice looking woman looks in the mirror and she sees no boobs, huge thighs, and a large caboose. An older man in terrible shape looks in the mirror and he sees Mr. Atlas. OK, so this is an exaggeration but I believe it's true to a lesser degree. Just an interesting difference between the sexes.
I've never thought it had anything to do with wanting compliments. Women are just too critical of their appearance.
