What you don't realize is that there are women out there who refuse to let men pay for their meal because of this pathetic, transactional mentality. And what they don't realize is that they are re-enforcing it, basically saying that if you do pay, they do owe you something. Poor, misguided souls. You should be thrilled that you have achieved your goal, at least with these women. Clearly, you haven't met them. That's because they are spending money they think is well worth spending and it won't be at McDonald's.

I have absolutely no problem with equality and like most, I believe in it, but many women seem to want to have their cake AND eat it, i.e. enjoy the fruits of equality without having to endure the disadvantages that many men are up against. Many tout their independence, yet they can always fall back on playing the helpless princess, if things don't go their way. Equality has (pretty much) been achieved and therefore, men are no longer required to be the breadwinners. Two adults in a relationship (man and woman) are both perfectly capable of earning their own corn. The days of men being the sole providers are long over.
