I'm spending it with the parents and grandparents in SC. We fry turkeys every Thanksgiving morning, starting early, and deliver them to relatives. We used to go quail hunting every thanksgiving afternoon, but we stopped that when pappy got too old to shoot a shotgun.
I am definitely looking forward to the sweet potato pie and squash casserole.
We are having a quiet family dinner this year, maybe a couple of friends from work will drop by. We picked up food and liquor the other day and are ready! We have a good time in our house for the holidays, lots of food, drinking and goofing off.
We will be eating thanksgiving dinner with my sister, but I will probably deep fry a turkey and fix a few sides for my motley crew as well. Sis is just across the road, so no big deal. I can keep going over for left overs!
Since I am alone for the holidays I will be having Thanksgiving dinner at a close by McDonald's.
Alone for Thanksgiving?? You should really treat yourself then! Go somewhere nice and enjoy a turkey dinner and catch a movie or something. McDonalds...BLA!

We have always wanted to try a deep fried turkey but I'm afraid we are going to end up blowing up the back of the house LOL I bet they are delicious though!!!
Thats what Thanksgiving is all about!! Being with friends and family and having a great meal....
You deep fryers, please be careful! We very nearly set our house on fire a few years ago.
