Awh Dang it..i just tripped over the land line and dropped all the shots..thanks guy...I think we should all chip in and get him a Cell phone for x-mass.. Im thinking either one with Tinkerbell or Sponge Bob on it.. Im a Starfish!!!
Just lie and say I'm in the process of making a upgrade and will be getting one soon?
I realized now that I'm forced to buy a cell phone and cant go into another year without one. But I don't want to let her know I never had one.
Is this a good idea? You know how women like to jump to conclusions so I figured I will be on the safe side and LIE!!!
When the phone rang and it said you have a "text to landline message" did it tell you what the TEXT said?
If you know what the text said, then there is no reason to tell the girl ANYTHING because you can just go get a darn phone tomorrow.
If you DON'T know what the text says, then just tell her it didn't come trough (truth), and could she just tell you what it says? Tell her that you are going to get this "phone thing" straightened out as soon as possible so you can get texts (also true), but in the mean time, you would like to know what she said.
There is always a way to get "around" the truth WITHOUT lying. If she starts asking you questions. Change the subject.
ETA: It shouldn't be a crime if someone does not have a cell phone. Do you really want to be involved with someone that you are AFRAID will think badly of you if you are honest about things? This does not sound good. Think this over. Nobody says you have to have a cell phone (although they are handy).
Or you could say, "I'm sorry, but I don't OWN a cell phone."
You know when I finally got a cell phone? When I was homeless. I saw that they were selling them at Wal-Mart and bought one. That way, work could call me directly.
Now, I have a cell phone, and it's nothing better than a glorified alarm clock and date keeper. I don't keep more than a few dollars on it, don't call out with it, don't have anyone calling in. IF people want to contact me on it, I tell them to use a text message, otherwise call my landline.
Of course, there's no guarantee I'll answer that either, but you could leave a message and I'll decide whether or not I'm going to call back--once I'm up for the day.
Just an FYI: I have metro pcs and magicjack and it does not work with my phones.
